The program requires 36 semester hours of graduate work, with an intership at a n approved organization. There are a multitude of courses available: Introduction to Public History
Historic Preservation
Practicum in Historical Editing
State and Local Research Methods
Archival Management
Public History Internship

In addition to these courses, other special topics courses are offered.

Furthermore, a seminar sequence must be completed, i.e. a readings and then a r esearch course covering the same time period. Other classes may be taken as el ectives, but no more than two courses outside of the history department are app licable to the degree.
