Provost Sue Rosser welcomed the conference to the SFSU campus on Thursday.





Professor Michael Avery of Suffolk Law School delivered the luncheon address on Thursday, speaking from his book, We Dissent: Talking Back to the Rehnquist, Eight Cases that Subverted Civil Liberties and Civil Rights (New York, 2009).




The History Department hosted a reception Thursday evening.




History Department Chair Barbara Loomis spoke at the Friday luncheon, introducing Professor Waldo Martin.
