The Center for Refugee Studies at York University is now preparing for their fourth annual Summer Course on Refugee Issues. The course is intended to deepen understanding, broaden perspectives, and provide fresh insights on refugee protection and solutions to people who are already familiar with refugee issues and who have a degree or equivalent experience. The course is in Toronto, June 19-27.
Topics include: Nation States and Refugees, Social Demography and Refugee Movements, Role of the UNHCR, Law and Refugee Status, Gender Issues, Repatriation and Development, Practical Experience, The Future of refugee Protection, Racism and Public Policy, and other topics.
Fees for the full course is $700, half course is $350. (Or $750 and $400 after April 30.)
