WALL AND MARKET: CHINESE URBAN HISTORY NEWS

The Spring 1996 issue of Wall and Market: Chinese Urban History News has recently appeared. This new publication serves scholars of Chinese and comparative urban history by providing a forum in which information about research opportunities, newly-opened archives, and conferences may be publicized and shared. Wall and Market also publishes short essays on urban history topics, descriptions of ongoing or recently completed work, and book reviews.

Wall and Market is published twice yearly in electronic and hard-copy versions. Electronic subscribers receive newsletter text by e-mail, without charge. Subscriptions to the paper version (ISSN 1086-4393) are $9 per year. A Chinese-language edition (in paper) will also be published, beginning with the Fall 1996 issue.
