Eddie Brandt's Saturday Matinee (yes, that is the name) will rent videos
through the mail quite cheaply. They are in Hollywood--sorry, I don't
have the phone number. You might also consider contacting the Continental
Shop on Wilshire Blvd. in Santa Monica, since they offer a large
selection of British films for sale.
