If 1 Pound 1890 = 5 Dollars 1890 and 1 Dollar 1890 = 100 Dollars 1990,
then 19-21 Shillings (1 Pound) 1890 per week equals approximately
500 Dollars 1990 per week, which may be closer to our modern poverty
line than 100 Dollars you calculated.
