Due to the late date at which we were authorised to hire for this
position, I hope it won't be inappropriate if I put this announcement
out via H-ALBION as well as the usual hard copy media:-

MODERN BRITAIN: Applications are invited for a tenure-track position
as Assistant Professor of modern British history at the Catholic
University of America. Applicants working in any field of British
history in the nineteenth and/or twentieth century are welcome;
expertise also in international, imperial, or Irish history may be
an added advantage. Due to late permission to recruit, we will
continue to review applications through December, and intend to
conduct first-round interviews at the AHA meeting in Atlanta.
Send letter of application, curriculum vitae, and at least three
letters of recommendation to: Professor L.R. Poos, Chair, Department
of History, The Catholic University of America, 620 Michigan Avenue NE,
Washington DC 20064. AA/EOE.
