The Scottish Studies Program at the University of Guelph is hosting a
conference on the theme "Scots and Aboriginal Peoples" 22-24 March, 1996.
We are just finalising details now, and will post program details when
they have been finalised. Among the papers will be discussions of the
relations between Scots and North American Native Peoples, Aborigines,
and Maori. One of the proposed speakers, Alexander Murdoch, will be
discussing Scottish perceptions of Native Peoples in North Carolina.
