This is not about evacuees from Singapore but I thought it might be of use.

I have an written an article entitled "Imperial Identities and Social
Mobility: Class, Empire and the British Government Overseas Evacuation of
Chidlren During the Second World War" which will appear next year in 20TH
CENTURY BRITISH HISTORY. It considers the experiences of children
evacuated from Britain to Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa
during World War II by the British Government. As part of my research I
used questionaires to collect information from a number of former evacuees
(data about their parents through to their life today). The results are in
the Lin Collection of OVerseas Evacuee Records at the Imperial War Museum
London, it contains 2000 or so pages collected from 180 or so evacuees.
