European Women/Twentieth Century. The University of Missouri, Columbia.
Pending final administrative approval, tenure-track assistant professorship
in twentieth century European history with an emphasis on women's history,
to begin August 1996. Ph.D. and evidence of excellence in teaching and
scholarship required. The successful candidate will be expected to teach,
on a regular basis, undergraduate courses in European women's history and
twentieth century Europe, as well as specialized graduate courses, and to
participate in the rotation for the introduction to modern European history

Medieval Europe. University of Missouri-Columbia. Pending final

history, to begin August 1996. Desirable specialties include social,
women's, political, or institutional history, but not scientific or
intellectual history, with regional specialization in western, central, or
Mediterranean Europe. The successful candidate will teach introductory
Western Civilization and medieval courses, and develop upperclass and

Institutioin: UCLA
The Department of History at the University of California, Los Angeles
invites applications for a regular tenure-track appointment in the History
of Religion with a specialization in Christian Origins at the assistant or
associate professor level. The successful candidate will be expected to
teach graduate and undergraduate courses in early Christianity as well as
offer survey courses in the History of Religion and the first quarter of the
