After several queries, comments, and suggestions about the price of
Curtin, et al. *African History* 2nd ed., I contacted the publisher.
Longman's College Marketing Dept. replied as follows:

Paperback Suggested List Price is $ 30.95

Hardback Suggested List Price is $ 79.95
(Note: We had doubled the size of our normal Hardcover
print-run, but.....we have sold out all copies!)

Readers should note that college and university bookstore prices
for texts often vary from the suggested retail price.
