For those who have been wondering, the 2nd edition of the Curtin,
et. al. textbook *African History* is now out, but I personally must
report some distress at the retail price conveyed to me--$33.50. I
don't usually use textbooks, but I have been considering it for my
two-course survey sequence--and at this price, I really can't order
the book unless I dramatically pare down the rest of my book list for
the course.
