The Oral History listserv has been of tremendous value to me, especially when I was involved in community history projects. It's a terrific way to connect to those around the country as well as other countries and not feel isolated. The scope of services H-Net provides is amazing: timely job postings, books reviews, quick-response expert resource to questions, notice of potentially interesting conferences and calls for papers. I do interdisciplinary research and subscribe to several listservs; though they vary somewhat in quality, I rely on all of them to keep me current.
