The Kentucky Historical (KHS) scholarly research-fellowsip program encourages and promotes advanced study and on all aspects of Kenyucky history. Through these short-term fellowship, researchers conduct serious scholarly research in KHS collections that advances historical knowledge about the commonwealth and the nation.
Awarded biannually, fellowships support visits to KHS by assisting researchers of any nationality with travel and living expenses while using the KHS research collections. KHS awards approximately ten scholarly research fellowships per year. Awrds are competitive and typically range from $375 to $1,500. Applications will be judged on the merits of the proposed research and the extent to which the judges believe that research can be advanced through use of collections at KHS.
Application material for the Spring 2012-2013 cycle are due no later than October 15, 2012
