The History Carnival is a monthly showcase of blog writing about history. Beginning on the first of each month, the Carnival is hosted at a different blog to highlight a variety of approaches, perspectives, and themes. Each month the guest host collects nominations from around the web and selects the best content to present. If you have not seen the Carnival before, check out the current month's showcase at History and the Sock Merchant historyandthesockmerchant.blogspot.com
On July 1, 2012 the Carnival will be hosted at stillwaterhistorians.com and our focus will be upon the best recent work from across the environmental history blogging community.
We are now accepting nominations. You can recommend a post from your own blog or from someone else's blog. We are looking for contributions from anyone with something interesting to say about history and the environment. Nominated posts can be academic or popular, can focus on specialist topics, research, teaching, sources, archives, debates or controversies. Any blog post that relates to environmental history in some way and appeared in recent weeks is eligible for the carnival.
Space is limited so all nominations are vetted by the carnival hosts who will make the final selections for inclusion.
If you would like to nominate a blog post for inclusion in the Environmental History Carnival please use the nomination form available at: http://historycarnival.org/form.html or email us directly at stillwaterhistorians@gmail.com
