Dr. Larry Barton will deliver the All-Academy Address at the International Academy of Business Discipline's (IABD) Annual Conference, to be held in Pittsburgh, PA, April 7-10, 2005. Dr. Barton's presentation will launch the IABD Mini-Conference on Crisis Communication Management. We invite authors to submit papers and panel proposals in the fields of crisis management and crisis communication. Deadline for submissions is November 30, 2004.
Dr. Barton's presentation is titled "What I Can't Put In My Next Book: Behind The Scenes of Corporate Decision Making During Crises". Dr. Barton's presentation will provide the theme for the IABD Organizational Communication & Crisis Management Track's Mini-Conference on Crisis Communication Management.
Barton is the author of several books and articles on crisis management and communication. His most recent book is titled, "Crisis Management: Master The Skills To Prevent Disasters" published by the Harvard Business School Press. He is currently the President of The American College of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, and has extensive experience in crisis management working for such oganizations as Motorola, British Petroleum, Nike, The Walt Disney Company, Honda, Exxon, Mobil, and others.
