The Society for the History of Children and Youth is pleased to announce a competition for the best article in English on the history of children, childhood, or youth published in calendar year 2001 or 2002 in a print or on-line journal. The award of a plaque and a check for $250 will be presented at the 2003 summer meeting of the SHCY. Nominations are invited from journals, writers and historians. All are eligible for the award, except for current members of the article award committee and the executive committee and officers of the SHCY. Nominations must be received by Feb. 1, 2003. Please send entries as email attachments in Microsoft Word only to all members of the award committee, or send a paper copy to the chair alone at the address (3) listed below.
